THE CONSTITUTION OF THE FREE METHODIST
CHURCH OF NORTH AMERICA
PREAMBLE
¶ 15. In order that
we may wisely preserve the heritage transmitted to us, and also that we
may prepare the way for more effective co-operation with other branches
of the church of Christ in all that makes for the advancement of God’s
kingdom among men, we, the ministers and lay members of the Free Methodist
Church of North America, in accordance with methods of constitutional legislation
established among us, do hereby ordain, establish, and set forth as the
fundamental law, or constitution, of the Free Methodist Church of North
America, the articles of religion, the general rules, and the articles
of organization and government, here following to wit:
