CLASS LEADERS
¶ 225. 1. Class
leaders shall be elected in the last quarter of the conference year. The
preacher in charge may nominate and the class shall elect the leader by
ballot, and if any person not nominated by the preacher receive a majority
of the votes, he shall be declared elected. Any member of the society shall
be eligible to election as leader.
2. Each leader should carefully inquire
how each soul in his class prospers; not only how each observes the outward
rules, but how he grows in the knowledge and love of God.
3. The leaders should consult with those
who have the charge of their circuits.
4. Let the preacher in charge see that improper
leaders are changed by a new election.
5. The leaders should frequently meet one
another’s classes.
