By James H. Brookes
This little book contains the substance of a few addresses, recently delivered in the course of pastoral service. Many desired to have them in more permanent form; and subscriptions were made to pay for an edition of 4,000, before the work was published. It is now committed to the favor of God, with the prayer that He will be pleased to own it, however unworthy, as an attempt to defend the supernatural origin and inerrant inspiration of His holy Word.
