Chapter 11

PROPHECIES CONCERNING THE JEWS AND PALESTINE

The present national condition of Israel is foretold in Lev. 26:14; Num. 23:9; Psa. 74:9; Isa. 1:1-9; Hos. 3:4; Lk. 19: 41-44; Rom. 11:25; 2 Cor. 3:15; Gal. 4:25.

As a result of the rejection of the Messiah by the Jews, Jerusalem is trodden down during the present age by the Gentiles. This will continue until “the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” (Lk. 21:24; Dan. 2:37 45).

Her house is left desolate until Christ returns. (Mt. 23:38-39; Acts 15:16).

Israel is not cast away forever. (Lev. 26:44; Rom. 11:1,2,28).

The elect remnant is now being incorporated with the Church, the Bride of Christ. (Eph. 5:24-32). Read Rom. 11:5,7.

The Jews, having returned unconverted to Palestine, will rebuild their temple in the last days of the age, offering sacrifices in unbelief. (Isa. 66:1-3,6; 1:10-15; Rev. 11:1-2).

THE TIME OF JACOB'S TROUBLE

They will go through “the time of Jacob's trouble”, the great tribulation. (Ezek. 22: 17-22; Zech. 14:2).

It will be a time of trouble such as never before. (Jer. 30:6-7; Deut. 12:1; Mt. 24:15-22). This will last 42 months. (Rev. 11:2; 13:5; Dan. 7:25; 9:27; 12:7).

Jerusalem will be beseiged and taken, but a remnant preserved. (Zech. 14:2; Zeph. 2:3; 3:12-13; Isa. 26:20; 51: 16; Joel 2:32).

The Jews will be humbled by these latterday judgments. (Isa. 26:16; Hos. 5:15; Zech. 13:8-9).

Anti-christ and his forces will be overthrown and the Jews and Jerusalem delivered by the second coming of Christ, with all His saints. (Rev. 6: 15-17; Isa. 2:19-21; 11: 4; 30:27-33; 63: 1-6; 66:13-16; Zech. 16:3-5; Joel 3:1,2; 9-16; Rev. 19:11-21; Dan. 2:31-35, 44, 45; Mt. 24:29,36).

The people will be gathered into the wilderness for purification. (Ezek. 20:33–38).

The spirit of grace and supplication will be poured out upon them. (Jer. 31 :9; Ezek. 20:43; 36:25-27; Joel 2:28-31; Zech. 12:10; Rev. 1:7).

Christ will stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives amidst great convulsions of nature. (Zech. 14:4-5,8-10; Isa. 2:1-3: Psa. 46:4; Ezek. 47: 1-12; Joel 3:18).

Palestine will be redivided to the twelve new tribes of Israel (Ezek. 45: 1-8; 47:1323; 48:1-29; Isa. 40:3-5).

Jerusalem will then be rebuilt and will be safely inhabited by the Jews. (Isa. 30:1921; 32: 18; 33:20-22; 44:21-28; Jer. 30: 18; 31:38-40; 33:16; Zech. 1:16; 2:4, 5,8; 8:3-5; 12:6; 14:11).

The glory of the Lord which departed from Israel (Ezek. 11:22-23) will then return. (Ezek. 43:4-5).

Jerusalem will become the beloved city (Rev. 20:9), the joy of the whole earth. (Ezek. 43:7; Joel 3:16, 17,20,21; Zeph. 3:15-17), the city of the Great King (Psa. 2:6; 48:2); the world's metropolis (Isa. 62:6-7; Mic. 4:8; Zech. 8:23).

The nations will send representatives year by year to Jerusalem (Isa. 2:1-3; 56:7; 60:10-16; 66:18-23; Jer. 3:17; Zech. 8: 20-23; 14:16).

These will be the times of restitution of all things. (Acts 3:21; Mt. 19:28; Obad. 21; Num. 16:21; Deut. 11:21; Psa. 72; Isa. 11; 65:17-25; Rom. 8:19-21; Zeph. 3:9).

LITERAL RESTORATION OF THE JEWS

Passages teaching the literal restoration of the Jews to their land and their conversion:

Lev. 26:40-45; Num. 23:9, 10, 19-24; Deut. 30: 1-10; Psa. 14:7; 69:35–36; 147:2-3; Isa. 1:25-27; 11:10-16; 14:12; 18:7; 27:12-13; 43:5–6; 49:6, 12–13; 51:11; 52:7-10; 60:8-10; 66:8-11, 1821; Jer. 3:14-18; 16:14-16; 23:3-8; 30: 3; 31 :6-37; 32:37-41; 33:7-26; Ezek. 11:17-20; 20:40-42; 28:25-26; 34:13, 25,26; 36:8–12, 24–38; 37:11-28; 39: 25-29; Hos. 1:10-11; 3:4-5 ; Joel 3:1-2; Amos 9:4-15; Obad 17; Mic. 2:12-13; 5:3; Zeph. 3:20; Zech. 2:4-5; 8:7-8; 10: 6-10; Mal. 3:2-3; Rom. 11.

Look up these prophecies and you will be convinced that God is not yet through with the Jew as a nation.
